Pentax online camera store

Mark Peters : 2009-11-04 10:37:35
Pentax online camera store to replace current dealers? : Is this the beginning of the end of the Pentax camera dealer? The news that Pentax Europe will open its online Imaging System stores in Germany, the UK, France, Switzerland and Hungary, does not seem like positive news for photo camera stores. For the traditional camera store, there is already a lot of competition online, so that the strategic move that Pentax will make with its online camera store might be the last straw. By setting up the Pentax online camera store, consumers in the countries named can order directly from Pentax. Undoubtedly a suggested retail price will be used, but in any case it will take away profits from the camera stores.

Olympus E-3 camera joins Space Shuttle flight

Mark Peters : 2009-03-07 00:30:00
Olympus E-3 celebrates space project : To celebrate ninety years of operation, Olympus is giving itself a gift: the Olympus Space Project. For this occasion, Dr Koichi Wakata, a Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut, will use the reliable Olympus E-3 D-SLR and ZUIKO DIGITAL lenses to snap the Earth from outer space. Pictures taken from the Kibo, the Japanese experimental module within the International Space Station (ISS), will then be posted on Olympus’ web sites and shown at photo exhibitions. Such amazing pictures of our blue planet are a testament to the value that Olympus places on the environment. The Space Shuttle Discovery which will carry Dr Wakata and his Olympus E-3 to the ISS is scheduled to launch soon.
