Satmap GPS review

Mark Peters : 2009-12-11 22:10:00
Satmap GPS review : Satmap launched its outdoor GPS in 2007. The launch in itself was a good initiative, while there are not that many suppliers for this type of GPS devices, and it is always good to have a bit of a competition. Reading on the Internet about the Active 10, particularly at the time the business was just taking off, we find many complaints, partially correct and partially caused by the greater comfort other devices offer. The latter offer the same options yet come at a lower price. Gradually through time, the tone of the comments has changed, although this did require several updates and a price cut. Nowadays, more enthusiastic stories can be found, since the Satmap GPS clearly also has its strong points.

GPS navigation features become more important

Mark Peters : 2009-11-06 00:40:00
GPS navigation report : As GPS navigation becomes more accessible with the increase of mobile phone based navigation systems, US consumers overwhelmingly see Point-of-Interest (POI) search as the only other feature they need, according to “PND Owners Unlikely to Discontinue Using Their GPS handheld,” from the Strategy Analytics Automotive Consumer Insights (ACI) service. Almost three-quarters of navigation consumers in the United States insist on the GPS navigation system feature. Sixty-two percent of navigation consumers in the United Kingdom agreed. However, for 87% of French consumers, the speed camera warning feature is top priority, and Germans require real-time traffic information.

It presents many possibilities for the average person. It's hard to imagine life without a car navigation system. And in the meantime, going for a walk with a GPS device has also become very normal. There are various advanced GPS devices available for this, as well as the so-called 'travel recorders'. The Qstarz BT-1000X travel recorder is this kind of GPS receiver.
