Sony A200 review

Dennis Hissink : 2008-02-01 15:30:00
Sony A200 review : The moment Sony took the step to take over the photo division of Konica Minolta, the photo industry was holding back to see which way the cat was going to jump. One was aware of the fact that Konica Minolta had a lot of in-house know-how and this know-how would not get lost with the take-over. It was only a question of time before Sony would bring out the first products under their own brand name. With the introduction of the entry-level model, the Alpha 100, Sony established their name as D-SLR manufacturer. The CES 2008 offered the perfect moment to enhance the specifications of the Alpha 100. And with the Sony Alpha 200 introduced now, we bid farewell to the A100 that will always be recognized as Sony's first DSLR camera. Read our Sony A200 review.

Sony A350

Sony Alpha A350 digital SLR camera : Sony is bringing live-view shooting to its digital SLR camera line with the 14.2-megapixel Alpha A350 DSLR camera. The new Sony A350 features new technologies that make picture taking faster, easier, and more familiar for first-time DSLR users. The Alpha 350 offers Sony’s new “Quick AF Live View” technology so you can frame photos on the camera’s LCD without sacrificing auto-focusing speed common to other live-view systems. Sony’s innovative Pentamirror Tilt mechanism directs light to a dedicated live view image sensor, enabling fast and responsive TTL phase-detection auto-focusing, even during live view. Eliminating the focus delay of other systems, the new Sony A350 is equally responsive whether using live view or optical viewfinder.

Sony GPS receiver

Nic Rossmüller : 2008-01-31 02:00:02
Sony GPS receiver GPS-CS1KASP : To update an announcement made last year, Sony said it will bundle new versions of the Picture Motion Browser software and Image Tracker software with its GPS receiver for digital imaging products. With this new software, the Sony GPS-CS1KASP device can trace the GPS coordinates of your video footage to an online map, courtesy of Google. The Sony GPS-CS1KASP product will continue to support GPS tagging of digital still photos. Sony includes two new attachment accessories so you can secure to the Sony GPS-CS1KASP GPS receiver to your arm when running or hiking or to your bike when cycling. The product continues to offer a carabiner to attach the receiver to a backpack or a belt loop.

Sony digital photo printers

Nic Rossmüller : 2008-01-31 02:00:01
Sony digital photo printers : To simplify the process of printing your pictures, Sony introduced two photo printers with one-touch printing and in-printer photo editing features. The transportable PictureStation Sony DPP-FP95 or the Sony DPP-FP75 photo printers can be taken to birthday celebrations, family reunions or scrapbooking parties. They produce lab-quality 4 x 6-inch prints in about a minute. Sony uses its BIONZ digital imaging processor in the DPP-FP95 printer to offer optimized performance with Sony’s CyberShot and alpha DSLR cameras. Each printer can access data in the picture files created from Sony digital still cameras and use this data to create the best print based on the settings used when the photo was taken.
