Samsung APS-C format image sensor : According to a publication in the Amateur Photographer, a respected magazine in the UK, Samsung is working on a project to develop a camera system that is built around an APS-C format image sensor. This is an unexpected and hasty announcement that comes right after the introduction of the Micro FourThirds system of Olympus and Panasonic. Questions are whether this 'announcement' is a strategic move and in which phase the project is right now. According to Amateur Photographer the Executive Vice President Byung Woo Lee of Samsung has confirmed that the APS-C system will be introduced in the spring of 2010.
