These lenses are designed exclusively for use with Pentax digital SLR cameras to deliver top-quality digital images. The smc Pentax-DA* 60-250mm F4ED [IF] SDM is a versatile telephoto zoom lens offering a high zoom ratio, while the smc Pentax-DA* 55mm F1.4 SDM is a compact medium-telephoto lens offering a large maximum aperture.

Pentax 15mm lens and converter at Photokina 2008 : Hoya Corporation Pentax Imaging Systems Division is pleased to announce that it will exhibit an interchangeable lens and an accessory at Photokina 2008. Both items are currently under development for use with Pentax digital SLR cameras. Photokina is one of the world’s largest photo and imaging merchandise fairs, and will be held this year from September 23 to 28 in Cologne, Germany.

Pentax lens range for digital SLRs : Five new lenses are announced to supplement the existing range of accessories for digital SLR cameras. The two new fast telephotos smc Pentax DA* 200mm F2.8 ED [IF] SDM and smc Pentax DA* 300mm F4.0 ED [IF] SDM are not only optically astounding but also support the ultrasonic autofocus drive system for fast and quiet operation. Special optical glass including ED glass elements, aspherical lens elements and outstanding lens coating provide for excellent contrast characteristics, a consistent edge-to-edge sharpness and a particularly clear rendition of fine details. As well as the outstanding imaging attributes, Pentax engineers have raised the mechanical characteristics of the lenses to a state-of-the-art level.
