Worldwide photography contest sponsored by Nikon

Mark Peters : 2008-06-14 19:50:00
Photography contest sponsored by Nikon : By sponsoring a worldwide photography contest for professionals and amateurs, Nikon Europe announces its backing of the United Nations International Year of the Potato 2008. Food prices are soaring worldwide, driven by fierce competition for reduced international supplies of wheat, maize and rice, and other agricultural commodities. As major concern grows over the risk of food shortages and instability in dozens of low-income countries, global attention is turning to an age-old crop that can in some cases help ease the strain of food price inflation: the potato. Closing date for the worldwide photography contest is 1 September 2008.

Nikon D300 review

Dennis Hissink : 2008-03-27 13:00:00
Nikon D300 DSLR Review : Nikon produced a fabulous digital SLR camera with the new D300. A SLR camera you can't get around as an advanced photographer and I can imagine the competition being very impressed with the impact the D300 has made. The shortcomings of the D200 are wiped away and Nikon have added some beautiful things. The Nikon D300 has become a smaller version of the Nikon D3 and that is a real compliment. Nikon did not change much to the housing and there was no need to either. The solid weatherproof housing is a joy for the photographer. The hand-fit and operation are perfect and the viewfinder is a real jewel. Besides a large and sharp view it offers 100% frame coverage which is highly important. > Read our full Nikon D300 review.

Nikon D60 digital SLR camera : Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the D60, one of the smallest Nikon digital SLRs ever. The Nikon D60 makes it fun and easy to take breathtaking pictures while also offering plenty of features for those who want to deepen their interest in creative shooting. With a split-second shutter response, the Nikon D60 captures pictures that cameras with longer time lags miss. Ease of use and creative options both come standard with the Nikon D60, whose exclusive Nikon technologies help deliver high-quality pictures with vibrant color and stunning, edge-to-edge detail. Such superior results are achieved through a high-resolution image sensor utilizing 10.2 megapixels and the world-famous Nikkor lenses delivering razor-sharp pictures.
