Kodak KAI-02150 CCD image sensor : Eastman Kodak Company is helping to power the growth of High Definition image capture with a new CCD image sensor targeted to industrial and broadcast video markets. Built using Kodak’s latest Interline CCD technology, the new Kodak KAI-02150 Image Sensor provides full support for the 1080p image capture standard, supporting 1920 x 1080 pixel (16:9 aspect ratio) image capture at 60 frames per second - twice the frame rate of standard HD video. The new sensor also provides broad dynamic range and excellent imaging performance - parameters that are critical for applied and professional markets. Engineering grade devices of the KAI-02150 are currently available, with volume production planned for Q4 2008.
50 Megapixel CCD image sensor by Kodak : World's first 50 Megapixel CCD image sensor for professional photography has been announced by Eastman Kodak Company. At 50 million pixels, the KAF-50100 image sensor captures digital images with unprecedented resolution and detail. For instance, with a 50 megapixel digital camera, in an aerial photo of a field 1,5 miles across, you could detect an object about the size of a small notebook computer. The Kodak KAF-50100 image sensor features a newly designed pixel that is smaller in size than the pixel used in current products for this professional market. This new pixel also reduces 'click-to-capture' time for improved camera response and lowers power consumption for improved battery life.
