GE cameras for sale in Longs Drug stores

GE Digital Cameras continue to grow presence : General Imaging, the worldwide exclusive licensee for GE digital cameras, announced that it is expanding its presence in the chain-drug category, adding West Coast-based Longs Drug to its growing list of retailers carrying the GE digital camera line. Under the agreement, Longs stores will stock three models - the GE A730 Black, the GE A835 Black and the GE A1030 Red - beginning in late October 2008. “Longs Drug stores have a long and storied history in the Western United States, with high visibility in many key markets,” said Hiroshi “Hugh” Komiya, Chairman and CEO of General Imaging. “We’re delighted to add such an important retailer to our team.”

Olympus Four Thirds standard digital SLR camera : Olympus Imaging Corporation (President: Masaharu Okubo) is developing a new interchangeable-lens digital SLR (single lens reflex) within the Olympus E-System. This new Four Thirds-compliant camera reinforces the company's commitment to the standard. Positioned as a mid-level model, this new interchangeable-lens digital SLR camera is intended for anyone who wants to express their creativity through photography, whether they are an amateur just starting out or a profession with years of experience behind them. Introduction of the new camera is expected in the first quarter of the year 2009. The developed camera will be exhibited as a reference product at Photokina 2008.

Leica S2 digital SLR camera : Due to a leak on the Internet we got our hands on some information about a new Leica DSLR camera. And it not only concerns a new SLR, it includes a brand-new digital photographic system as well, the Leica S-system. The Leica S2 will be the first DSLR camera in the new S-system, boosting 37 Megapixel of resolution. The sensor used is 56% larger than those used in a 35mm full-frame SLR. With the Leica S2 SLR camera Leica will aim at the top-end professional photographer shooting advertising, fashion and other commercial work. Olympus Micro Four Thirds digital camera concept

Olympus Micro Four Thirds digital camera mock-up : Olympus Imaging Corporation announced that it has begun development of an interchangeable lens type digital camera based on the "Micro Four Thirds System." Development of the camera will bring dramatic reductions in size and weight to the Olympus E-System, and will comply with the new Micro Four Thirds System standard jointly announced with Matsushita Industrial (Panasonic) on August 5. From September 23 through 28, a concept mock-up of the camera will be exhibited at "Photokina 2008", the world's biggest trade fair for the photographic and imaging industries held at Köln Messe, Cologne, Germany.


New digital cameras from GE now available at Amazon

General Electric digital cameras now available at Amazon : Amazon already had been selling some General Electric branded digital cameras but will now expand its offerings to include the 2008 models, including the entry-level A series, the mid-price E series, and the ultra-compact G series. Standard colors for the General Electric digital cameras are black, silver or red, with some models being available in additional colors as well.
