Worlds first Geotagging video camera : Geotate, a pioneering auto geotagging company, announced that in collaboration with DXG Technology Corp, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and designers of digital cameras and camcorders, it is powering the world’s first geo-enabled production-ready video camera. The video camera is based on the DXG’s DVH586 platform, and deploys Geotate’s Yuma geotagging software. Thanks to Geotate’s unique geotagging software, the reference design can automatically “geotag” footage, or mark it with location data. The collaboration marks a significant expansion to the possibilities of how film is currently enjoyed and shared by millions on the internet every day.
