Canon PowerShot G7 at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Canon G7 digital compact camera. The 10 Megapixel PowerShot G7 digital camera features DIGIC III, the newest iteration of Canon’s ultra-efficient (and proprietary) image processor. With Canon’s new Face Detection AF/AE technology (working in concert with Canon’s 9-point Autofocus system), the camera can detect, lock on and track up to nine human faces in a scene simply by pressing the shutter button halfway. The Canon G7 digital compact camera is equipped with a fast and sharp f/2.8-4.8 6x optical zoom lens (35-210mm, 35mm equivalent). Canon’s specialized SR coating augments the all glass lens.

The Canon PowerShot A710 IS camera features a high resolution 7.1 Megapixel CCD with a 2.5 inch LCD screen, an optical viewfinder and a high-quality Canon 6x Optical Zoom lens, along with Canon’s original Image Stabilizer (IS) Technology - making it the first A-Series model to provide image stabilization. The Canon A710 IS offers 20 shooting modes, the standard shooting modes are Full Auto, Program, Manual, Shutter-priority, and Aperture-priority. The new Digital Tele-converter digitally emulates having a traditional tele-converter attached.
