BlackBerry Connect software : Research In Motion announced plans to offer BlackBerry Connect software on five Microsoft Windows Mobile-based devices from HTC to carriers around the world, including the HTC S710 launched at 3GSM World Congress 2007. The HTC S710 is a versatile, compact handset that looks like a phone, but includes a concealed semi auto-sliding keyboard to allow for email and data input. Users are able to view their email, Word and Excel documents on the 2.4 inch screen with landscape view option. The HTC 710 operates on GPRS/EDGE networks and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. Adobe Flash Lite for mobile handsets : At the 3GSM World Congress, Adobe Systems announced that support for video will be integrated in the next generation of Adobe Flash Lite software, Adobe’s award-winning Flash Player runtime specifically designed for mobile phones. Flash Lite 3, expected to be available in the first half of 2007, will bring the Adobe Flash Player video format from the desktop to mobile devices, enabling operators, handset manufacturers alike to deliver more compelling and engaging experiences to mobile users. The release will be a landmark addition that includes Adobe Production Studio for professional video editing, Macromedia Flash 8 for video encoding, and Adobe Flash Media Server for video distribution.
