Digital photography classes at SIGGRAPH : Develop new digital photography skills and explore bracketing techniques using Adobe Photoshop in The Art Institutes' Digital Photography Classes at SIGGRAPH. Jeremy Schulz, an instructor within the Digital Media Production and Visual Effects & Motion Graphics programs, will guide you as you combine multiple exposures to create a single image with a dynamic range effect. You will gain an understanding of the RAW module as well as simple selection techniques and creative uses of Photoshop's filters to achieve desired effects. The Art Institutes is a system of 36 education locations, providing an important source of design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts professionals.

SIGGRAPH San Diego : SIGGRAPH 2007, the 34th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, announced attendance of 24,043 artists, research scientists, gaming experts, developers, filmmakers, and academics from 79 countries for the annual conference and exhibition in San Diego this week. Plus, more than 230 companies exhibited - an increase in exhibit space of more than 12% from the previous year. “From around the globe, the leading minds in our community united in San Diego for an impressive week that highlighted major breakthroughs, technical achievements, and exciting new programs,” commented Joe Marks, SIGGRAPH 2007 Conference Chair from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Graphics and interactive technology Conference : The SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival and Art Gallery will feature 51 California filmmakers and artists in its programs, both part of the 34th International Conference on Computer Graphics & Interactive Techniques being held 5-9 August 2007 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. The SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival is internationally recognized as the world’s premier event for computer graphics & animation. Groundbreaking films presented at the Computer Animation Festival have amazed audiences for 3 decades. Since 1999, the festival has been an official qualifying event for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences "Best Animated Short Film" award.

Digital art performances at SIGGRAPH 2007 : Digital art performances that expands awareness of people and nature, illuminates the role digital media play in shaping, extending, and reflecting world views and cosmologies will be presented as part of the SIGGRAPH 2007 Art Gallery: Global Eyes. The art performances and site-specific installations will be presented from 4-6 August 2007 at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit) and the Center for Research in Computing and the Arts (CRCA) at the University of California, San Diego. The digital art performances are open to the public, but pre-registration is required at the San Diego Convention Center. Free shuttle buses will be available.

SIGGRAPH 2007 computer animation festival : SIGGRAPH 2007 announced record submissions for this year's Computer Animation Festival taking place at the 34th International Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, 5-9 August 2007 in San Diego, California, USA. The Computer Animation Festival jury selected from a record 905 submissions for exemplary use of computer-generated imagery and animation, and compelling storytelling. With show categories ranging from animation to research, this year's submissions originate from countries across the globe including the France, Germany, Japan, Poland, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and New Zealand.
