MediaMarkt Saturn to sell Kodak printers : Eastman Kodak Company announced that Media-Saturn Group will be the strategic partner to support Kodak’s entry into the German inkjet home printing market. Kodak EasyShare 5300 and 5500 All in One inkjet printers will be available from both consumer-electronics trade. “We have developed a model that enables the consumer to print in the high quality they have come to expect from Kodak, at affordable ink prices and with a high degree of user-friendliness,” said Andreas Lippert, General Manager, Kodak Germany. “Our pricing model will revolutionize home printing, offering consumers with a high volume of printouts an opportunity to print long-lasting documents at affordable prices.”

Canon Selphy CP750 and CP740 photo printer : Canon launches two new additions to its Selphy range of ultra-compact photo printers. The Selphy CP750 and entry-level Selphy CP740 - replacing the popular canon Selphy CP730 and Selphy CP720 respectively - introduce Red-Eye Correction to the CP series for the first time. Larger LCD screens, improved skin tone reproduction and new printing modes come as standard on both models. OKI expands production scale in China

OKI expands production scale in China : The OKI Group announced it has relocated Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (OSZ), the Group’s ATM and printer manufacturing company in China. Operation at the new site started in January 2007. As the total floor space expands two-fold, the production scale will dramatically increase and OKI is expecting productivity to increase three-fold. “We are very excited about this new production site, which has much larger production capacity. OSZ is positioned as an important base for OKI’s China business and global business, and we will continue to work together with the people in China to expand OSZ as a large overseas base,” said Katsumasa Shinozuka, CEO of Oki Electric Industry.

Pricing starts at $79.99. Demonstrating its commitment to leadership in wireless printing, eight out of Lexmark's 12 new inkjet printers being introduced in 2007 will have wireless capabilities spanning four-in-one, three-in-one and single-function printer categories. Available in the second quarter of 2007 are the Lexmark X4550 Wireless All-in-One (AIO), the Lexmark Z1420 Wireless Color Printer, and the Lexmark X3550 Color All-in-One with wireless as an optional feature.

Printer ink cartridge refill kit : Medea International Limited, makers of the Inkrite PhotoPlus ink and Toners, has acquired the trade and assets of JR Max Limited, owners of the technology and patents for the world-renowned JR Inkjet (Just Refill) brand of inkjet cartridge refill products. The JR Max operation will relocate to the 110,000 square ft headquarters in Dundee. Existing orders will be fulfilled from the current Essex base with a full switch to Dundee within two months. The Just Refill product range reinforces Medea International as the UK's leading provider of printer consumables, as well as allowing further penetration of the European market where the products remain in huge demand.
