Solid State Drives at Computex

Ralf Jurrien : 2007-06-15 13:30:00
Solid State Drives at Computex : PNY Technologies, Inc. introduced its new solid state drive (SSD) lineup, on pace to replace traditional hard disk drives (HDD) currently used in all notebook and desktop PCs. Configured with NAND flash chips, PNY’s SSDs are a drop-in replacement that greatly improves system performance, enhances ruggedness, and uses less energy in all notebooks and mobile electronics devices that allow for a traditional 2.5” or 1.8” hard disk drive. PNY’s SSD offering includes commercial and industrial options as well as capacities up to 128GB for its 2.5" version and 64GB for its 1.8" drive. The 2.5" versions feature the PATA-based 44-pin IDE and SATA connectors.
