New Panasonic Lumix cameras

New Panasonic Lumix cameras : Panasonic presents its 2007 digital camera line-up with the introduction of 10 new digital cameras. Our reporter is currently situated at the Panasonic press conference in Paris to take a first glimpse at the newest Panasonic models. The newly introduced digital camera models include the Lumix DMC-FX30, a successor to the DMC-FX07. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 features 3.6x optical zoom and a wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens. The compact Lumix DMC-TZ3 features 10x optical zoom and uses the Panasonic Venus Engine III Image processing engine. And the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 will feature 12x Optical zoom, coupled with an Extra Optical Zoom function.

Panasonic DMW-SDP1 HDTV Photo Player : At the press conference in Paris Panasonic introduced the HDTV Photo Player DMW-SDP1 that allows users to view photos taken by a Lumix or other SD-enabled digital camera, in High Definition quality on a large screen TV. Through simply connecting the Panasonic SDP1 (using supplied HD component cable) to a HD TV, such as a Panasonic VIERA, and inserting their SD/SDHC memory card into the slot, users can view their photos in 1080i high definition quality. The included remote controller allows you to sit back, relax and enjoy smooth playback of high definition images with your family and friends. Operation of the remote controller is as easy as that of a LUMIX thanks to its omni-directional cursor.

Panasonic and Digi-Key relationship : The relationship between Panasonic and Digi-Key Corporation was commemorated in 2006 with celebrations, first in August with a company-wide observance at Digi-Key’s facility in Thief River Falls, Minnesota and most recently in Osaka, Japan where Panasonic is headquartered. The year 2006 marked the 30-year anniversary between Panasonic and the electronic component distributor. “These celebrations commemorated an important milestone,” said Digi-Key President Mark Larson. “Panasonic is Digi-Key’s top selling supplier partner, and Digi-Key is Panasonic’s top distributor. We have a good relationship, one that is built not only on the success of the past but potential for future successes as well.”
