Its 5x zoom lens enables users to close in dramatically on any type of action from afar. Yet despite incorporating this high-performance attribute, the metal body - which is available in the choice of silver or black - still easily fits into virtually any pocket. This 7.1 Megapixel FE model boasts exceedingly easy operation and features a large 6.4cm LCD. Olympus E-400 digital SLR review

Ilse Jurriën : 2007-01-22 15:01:00
Olympus E-400 digital SLR review : Last August we saw the introduction of the Olympus E-400, the world's smallest and lightest digital reflex camera. Almost immediately after the introduction, we received the news that the Olympus E-400 would not be available world-wide and that, for example, there was no reason for the American market to get exited about this new compact DSLR FourThirds model yet. The latest news is that the American introduction has been planned for later, under another name (EVOLT E-400). The Olympus E-400 has recently become available and with it, Olympus has managed to build up an interesting range of dSLR cameras in a relatively short period of time.

Scuba dive review of Olympus PT-E02 underwater case

Ilse Jurriën : 2007-01-22 14:59:00
Scuba diving with the Olympus PT-E02 underwater case : LetsGoDigital traveled to Maldives, officially named as Republic of Maldives, to test the Olympus E-330 DSLR camera with the PT-E02 underwater case. The Maldives form a group of atolls in the Indian Ocean about seven hundred kilometers from south-west of Sri Lanka. The twenty-six atolls exist out of 1,192 islets, but only 200 are inhabited by people. For a lot of people the Maldives are one of the most exotic places. For us, it was the perfect occasion for trying out the Olympus E-330 DSLR, the first SLR camera with Live View via a 2.5-inch LCD screen. In combination with the Olympus PT-E02 underwater case; water tight up to a depth of 60 meters and made of a long-lasting, high-quality polycarbonate.

Olympus microscope photography competition

Nic Rossmüller : 2007-01-03 15:12:00
Olympus microscope photography competition : For most of us, red eye in our photos is nothing to be proud of. But for scientists around the globe, a brilliant crimson image of the inside of a mouse's eye has set a new standard as one of the most beautiful and striking photos in the world. The image, captured by San Diego researcher Thomas Deerinck, triumphed over more than 1200 other entries to become the top prizewinner in the international 2006 Olympus BioScapes Digital Imaging Competition - the world's foremost forum for showcasing microscope photos and videos of life science subjects. Deerinck's image was captured as part of research into neurofibromatosis, a usually fatal childhood illness that can cause tumors.
