Multiplayer mobile game development contest : SNAP Mobile kicked off the Multiplayer game Competition at the Develop Conference & Expo, a European event for gaming professionals. SNAP Mobile launched the game development contest to offer developers a unique, fast track way to break into the multiplayer games market and still retain the rights to their games. SNAP Mobile intends to use the competition to attract developers to build games on the SNAP mobile platform, which works on compatible Java-based phones regardless of manufacturer. Developers can submit game concepts from 1 to 30 August 2007 by sending a e-mail to Nokia. The multiplayer contest is one category within the larger Mobile Rules! competition sponsored by Nokia.

Nokia competition to find rulers of the mobile world : Nokia announced the launch of its 2nd annual competition for developers and entrepreneurs working in the mobile space. The 'Mobile Rules!' competition aims to promote excellence in both applications developed for mobile and for businesses launching or promoting services in the mobile arena. In 2006, it was launched as the 'Web2Mobile' competition; the change of name reflects the increased scope, prizes and reach of this year's contest. Commenting on the competition, Vesa Luiro, Director, Communication Solutions, said: "At the heart of Nokia's business lies innovation - both in mobile devices and in the services and solutions that will enhance the experience of mobile users.
