Nikon Rangefinder System book

Nikon Rangefinder System book : ‘Bob’ Rotoloni, the founder of the Nikon Historical Society and publisher of the Nikon Journal is Nikon from head to toe with a vast knowledge and understanding of the Nikon rangefinder system. He has been published before, in 1981 and revised in 1983 with his book ‘Nikon Rangefinder Camera’. In early 2004, renowned Nikon Expert Robert Rotoloni began work on his new book knowing that it would use practically nothing from his previous book ‘Nikon Rangefinder Camera’. Using less than a dozen images from the 1983 book, this new edition will have 1350 black and white illustrations plus 24 pages of full colour by master photographer Tony Hurst all contained in its 528 pages.

Young photojournalists supported by Nikon : From October 5-8, Nikon will sponsor 100 of the worlds most promising young photojournalists who will gather in rural upstate New York for the 20th annual Eddie Adams workshop, also known as “Barnstorm”. These handpicked students will be mentored by seasoned professional photographers and photo editors during the four-day intense workshop. They will learn the skills needed to perfect the art of telling a compelling story with photography and leave with lifelong friends and an unforgettable experience. Students will also have the opportunity to try out Nikon’s new D3 and D300 professional digital SLR cameras and get technical advice from Nikon experts available on-site.

Nikon at Focus on Imaging 2007 : Focus on imaging will take place this year from the 25th - 28th February, at the NEC in Birmingham. At the event this year Nikon will have an exciting new stand, which will enable more hands on contact with the products and allow visitors to get advice from the team of Nikon experts. The new stand will boast two dedicated seminar areas which can each accommodate in excess of forty people. The lectures will focus on two key areas: inspiration and technology. The inspiration seminars will be led by a range of guest speakers and will encompass lectures on travel photography to techniques on time-lapse photography and animation as well as a selection of inspirational lectures from Apple.
