Vizio LCD HDTV launch with Wal-Mart : Vizio, maker of multiple award-winning lines of high definition flat panel TVs, announced the arrival in stores of four new LCD HDTV models at Wal-Mart stores. The addition of Vizio brand HDTV's is part of Wal-Mart's nationwide effort to expand its service, values and selection in electronics, offering customers the most sought after digital, communication and home entertainment items. The four new Vizio LCD flat panel HDTV's touting all black designs are available in all of Wal-Mart's 3300+ US stores include the Vizio VW26LHDTV, Vizio VW32LHDTV, Vizio VW37LHDTV and the Vizio VW42LHDTV. The sizes range from 26-inches to 42-inches with prices starting at an amazing $448.

NEC MultiSync 90GX wins PC world innovation award : NEC Display Solutions of America, a provider of innovative LCD displays, professional grade plasmas and projectors, and integrated display solutions, announced that its MultiSync 90GX desktop display has been named one of PC World’s “100 Best Products of 2007.” With the MultiSync LCD2180WG-LED being named one of the top 25 Most Innovative products of 2006, this is the second year in a row that one of NEC’s displays has placed in a PC World’s “Best” list. In their quest for the top technical products of the year, PC World calculates each item’s design, performance, features, and value on a 100-point scale. NEC’s MultiSync 90GX earned an average of 82 points across all categories.

Daewoo plasma featuring Pixelworks video technology : Pixelworks, an innovative provider of powerful video and pixel processing technology for advanced televisions and digital projectors, announced today that Daewoo Electronics is now in production with a series of 42-inch plasma display televisions for the global market using Pixelworks DNX video processing technology. Daewoo is using Pixelworks’ flexible ImageProcessor Architecture to design three models that are optimized for major geographical markets including North America, Europe and Latin America. All three Daewoo plasma tv models are currently in production. A series of LCD televisions using this platform will be introduced in the third quarter.
