World Cyber Games championship sponsored by Kingston : Kingston Technology Company, Inc., announced it is the official memory sponsor for the finals of the World Cyber Games (WCG) Championships, to be held October 4-7, 2007, in Seattle, WA. The finals are expected to draw approximately 700 gamers representing over 70 countries, as individual and team-based competitors go head-to-head in eight PC games and four console games for the title of world champion. Kingston will showcase its latest gaming memory modules during the finals at the Qwest Field Events Center. “Kingston is proud to sponsor the finals of the most popular gaming event in the world,” said Dara Sun, HyperX product manager, Kingston.

Tennis photo tips from sports photographer : Kingston Technology Company, Inc., announced that freelance photojournalist and sports photographer Rick Maiman will provide a behind-the-scenes look at photographing the 2007 US Open Tennis Championships and offer helpful tips for capturing great moments at any tennis match on the company’s ‘Look Who’s Using Kingston’ microsite. In addition to his helpful tips, Maiman discusses changing shooting perspectives throughout the tournament and to be mindful of photo opportunities away from the action on the court. Images captured by Maiman at this year’s US Open Championship, held August 27-September 9, will be uploaded to Kingston’s microsite throughout the tournament.

Icons of Photography : Kingston Technology Company announced as part of its ‘Icons of Photography’ microsite, the interactive feature Critique My Image. Kingston is posting images submitted by photographers from around the world, and had its Icons Harry Benson, Colin Finlay, Gerd Ludwig and Peter Read Miller provide constructive advice. “Critique My Image provides visitors to Kingston’s ‘Icons of Photography’ microsite a rare opportunity to have their work critiqued by some of the most noted photographers in the world,” said Jaja Lin, Flash marketing manager, Kingston. “The new interactive features on our microsite, including Critique My Image, create a dialogue between our customers and members of the Icons program,” Lin added.

Vacation photo tips from wildlife photographer : Kingston Technology announced that wildlife photographer John Hyde will be the next participant to share how he uses Kingston Flash memory on the company’s ‘Look Who’s Using Kingston’ microsite. Hyde discusses how he captures the majestic beauty of Alaska’s national parks and the wildlife, including native Alaskan wolves, birds and orcas. Hyde also offers insightful tips on how consumers can take their own beautiful photos during visits to national parks and other outdoor venues. “I believe that by photographing wildlife and their surroundings, I’m helping to promote awareness of the environment to consumers through posters, fine-art prints, calendars and my Web site,” said Hyde.

Interactive features for Icons of Photography : Kingston Technology Company, the independent world leader in memory products, announced it is adding interactive features to the popular ‘Icons of Photography’ microsite. New components allow visitors to pose questions directly to some of the world’s most respected photographers and also provide an opportunity for submitted photographs to be critiqued by members of the ‘Icons’ program. Consisting of three new elements - 20 Questions, Ask the Icon and Critique My Image - visitors can gain personal insight in an interactive forum where questions can be asked and images can be shared with the Icons. The microsite will continue to showcase the latest work produced by each photographer.
