Camera Phone image quality

Mark Peters : 2007-03-20 15:20:00
Camera Phone image quality : The Imaging Industry Association will present a track in the CTIA Emerging Technology Forum entitled "Camera Phone Image Quality - Is Technology to Blame?" on Monday, March 26, immediately preceding the CTIA Wireless conference in Orlando, Florida. Camera phones, unlike their digital still camera counterparts, are mass produced multifunctional devices. Demands for small form factors, reliability, low cost, durability, and high volume manufacturing processes all affect the capabilities of camera modules, constraining the overall quality of images captured using camera phones. The I3A session will focus on technology that affects image quality and possible solutions to improve camera phone image quality.

Photo preservation website launched by I3A : The International Imaging Industry Association (I3A) announced the launch of its Consumer Photo Preservation Website. The site was created to educate and motivate people to take steps to protect and preserve their digital photos - to take the mystery out of preserving digital images by revealing the needs, risks and proper methodology for storing, cataloging and preserving digital photos. The new Web site showcases the results of I3A's recent Consumer Photo Preservation Initiative, in which industry leaders collaborated to investigate the issues and develop comprehensive, practical solutions for protecting against the accidental loss of consumer's digital photos.
