GE digital cameras distributed by Synnex Canada : General Imaging, the worldwide exclusive licensee for the new line of GE-branded digital still cameras, announced that Synnex Canada Limited, will be an authorized distributor for the new line. General Imaging has begun shipping the stylish new camera line to Synnex Canada, a leading provider of diversified IT products, solutions and other consumer electronics across Canada. Cameras should be available to resellers by next week. “Synnex Canada is well established and enjoys a very loyal customer base of retailers and resellers in Canada. We are confident in Synnex Canada’s ability to drive our products to market,” said Hiroshi “Hugh” Komiya, Chairman and CEO of General Imaging.

General Imaging cameras distributed by Synnex : General Imaging announced that Synnex Corporation, a global IT supply chain services company, will begin distributing the new line throughout the US. General Imaging has begun shipping the stylish new digital camera line to Synnex, to be distributed through Synnex’s NEXCE Division. Cameras should be available to resellers by next week. “We look forward to a long relationship with Synnex, a well-established company with a very loyal customer base of retailers and resellers,” said Hiroshi “Hugh” Komiya, Chairman and CEO of General Imaging. “I am confident the NEXCE Division, with its strong focus in consumer electronics, will do a good job of driving our products to market.”

Sears Kmart to sell General Imaging digital cameras : General Imaging announced that Sears and Kmart have signed a contract to become the first retailers to carry the stylish new digital cameras emblazoned with the famous GE monogram. The retail chains, both owned by Sears Holdings, will begin carrying GE cameras in their US stores around Memorial Day. “We are thrilled to sign on with General Imaging and become the first retailers to carry the GE digital cameras,” said Jonathan Magasanik, Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Sears Holdings. “We believe the GE name carries tremendous weight with consumers, and we expect these cameras will be a big hit with our customers.”

Worldwide debut of stylish GE-branded digital cameras : General Imaging, the worldwide exclusive licensee for GE-branded digital cameras, announced that HSN will offer GE cameras in its lineup of products, featuring several models over the next several months. GE digital cameras will appear on HSN beginning at 12 a.m. tomorrow and continuing throughout the day. The May 1 debut on HSN marks the first time GE digital cameras will be available to the public. GE cameras are expected to be on store shelves later in May 2007. On May 1 HSN will introduce the G1, GE’s sleek, signature digital point-and-shoot camera as “Today’s Special.” The G1 digital camera comes with 7-megapixel resolution, 3X zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.
