GE digital camera at Pamida stores : General Imaging, the worldwide licensee for GE digital cameras, has announced the addition of Pamida stores to the list of retailers carrying its products. Pamida is now selling two models of the GE digital camera line at all of its stores: the GE A730 (MSRP $99.99) and the E1030 ($199.95). “We’re thrilled to have GE digital cameras available in Pamida,” said Hiroshi “Hugh” Komiya, chairman and CEO of General Imaging. “Pamida is another very important member of our retail team.” Pamida is a regional retailer focused on bringing value and convenience close to home in small communities. Headquartered in Omaha, Neb., the company operates 214 stores throughout 16 states, primarily in the Midwest.

Micro Center, which began stocking the GE cameras in late August, reports that GE digital cameras have been very successful. “Micro Center stores do a lot of volume and are an important outlet for us,” said Hiroshi “Hugh” Komiya, chairman and CEO of General Imaging. “We’re excited about adding this retailer to our team.” Kevin Jones, vice president of merchandising for Micro Center, said, “The new GE digital cameras made an immediate impact with our customers. Their feature sets and price points are excellent.”

GE H855 digital camera to fight breast cancer : General Imaging, the worldwide exclusive licensee for GE digital cameras, has announced a partnership with multichannel retailer HSN that will let consumers join in their effort to fight for breast cancer. HSN will offer a limited-edition GE camera during October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A permanent pink ribbon adorns the highly polished aluminum face of the camera to signify General Imaging’s commitment to the fight against breast cancer. The GE H855 will be offered exclusively by HSN during an Oct. 20 broadcast - and also online. For every unit sold, HSN will donate a portion of proceeds to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Sears Kmart to sell General Imaging digital cameras : General Imaging announced that Sears and Kmart have signed a contract to become the first retailers to carry the stylish new digital cameras emblazoned with the famous GE monogram. The retail chains, both owned by Sears Holdings, will begin carrying GE cameras in their US stores around Memorial Day. “We are thrilled to sign on with General Imaging and become the first retailers to carry the GE digital cameras,” said Jonathan Magasanik, Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Sears Holdings. “We believe the GE name carries tremendous weight with consumers, and we expect these cameras will be a big hit with our customers.”
