Fujifilm FinePix S9600 review with test photos

Dennis Hissink : 2007-04-22 14:26:00
Fujifilm FinePix S9600 review with test photos : Since some time, Fujifilm has two Megazoom cameras in its program. One, the FinePix S6500fd, has been produced to target the average consumer. The other, the Fujifilm FinePix S9600, has been intended for the more serious photographer and offers, for that reason, other possibilities than the FinePix S6500fd. The Fujifilm S9600 succeeds the FinePix S9500. There aren't many changes in regards to the previous model. The image quality has been improved, the Fujifilm FinePix S9600 Megazoom camera is equipped with a larger LCD monitor and an auto focus for faster focus under low light circumstances and there are improvements in the flash. The number of Megapixels remains the same.

Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd review

Dennis Hissink : 2007-04-01 23:00:00
Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd review : One thing became very clear with Fujifilm, at the Photokina 2006: face detection is going to be it! And the technique is ready to be built in cameras standard. With this, Fujifilm can fall back on their extensive knowledge of minilabs. There, the technique has been used for years, among other things, to be able to tune colours perfectly. One of the first models with face detection is the Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd. The indication fd stands for face detection. The sensor is building another very important part of the Real Photo Technology. Fujifilm has been using the Super CCD for a long time, and the Fujifilm S6500fd has been equipped with the 6th generation already, the Super CCD VI HR.

Fujifilm retail strategy for Frontier solutions

Ralf Jurrien : 2007-03-16 20:40:00
Fujifilm retail strategy for Frontier solutions : In a keynote address at PMA 2007, Yoshikazu Aoki, corporate vice president, Photo Imaging Products Division, Fujifilm Corporation, shared his perspective on the impact of digitization on the photo imaging industry. He emphasized Fujifilm’s continued commitment to develop imaging products for retailers, and pointed to the penetration and integration of once-separate business sectors as a key factor driving both change and opportunity for Fujifilm and its customers. “We are seeing that digitization is driving the convergence of imaging technologies and products that once resided in distinct business sectors. Today we are experiencing the fusion of copying and printing,” said Aoki.

Fujifilm compact film processor

Ralf Jurrien : 2007-03-16 18:26:00
Fujifilm compact film processor : Fujifilm USA, Inc. announced the FP150 SC, a compact film processor ideal for today’s retail photo labs. Despite a remarkably compact footprint of 5 square feet, the FP150 SC is still capable of processing 14 rolls of 135-24 exposure film per hour. The FP150 SC doesn’t compromise on features, either. Both 135 and 110 film formats can be processed “out of the box”, and IX-240 films can be developed using an optional accessory. Fujifilm’s innovative cartridge chemistry (CN16S) ensures that chemical replenishment is both simple and clean, and the compact tank size allows users to maintain process control with reduced film volume. Deliveries of the FP150 SC are expected to begin in Summer 2007.
