Fujifilm high quality UVIR forensic filter : Fujifilm USA has contracted with Peca Products, Inc. to produce a high quality ultraviolet and infrared forensic filter kit for use with our line of UVIR sensitive forensic digital cameras. The kit contains the most common yet hard to find set of filters that most forensic specialists use during investigations. Dealers are often asked to suggest filters for use with Fujifilm cameras. In addition, most of the IR filters needed are no longer in production by many of the popular filter suppliers making this more difficult. The filters are high quality glass and are sized for 67mm filter threaded lenses. Most common investigative macro lenses have thread mounts between 55mm and 67mm.

Fujifilm CP-49LR Frontier chemical cartridge : Fujifilm USA, Inc., announced the immediate release of the CP-49LR Frontier Chemical Cartridge. The CP-49LR is developed for use on medium-to-high throughput Frontier systems and specifically designed to reduce reduces the volume of packaging materials for disposal. Additionally, because of the 11% reduction of replenishment rate for Crystal Archive Type II Paper, less chemical waste handling and disposal is necessary. Each CP-49LR PC cartridge will process 125 m² (1,345.5 ft²) Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper, a significant increase compared to the current CP-49E cartridge capacity. This increase in capacity results in fewer cartridge changes.

Fujifilm Fujichrome Velvia 50 : Fujifilm USA, Inc. is introducing new Fujichrome Velvia 50 for Professionals (RVP 50), a high color saturation, high contrast transparency film at the PMA 2007 Annual Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV. At the beginning of 2005 Fujifilm announced the discontinuation of previous Fujichrome Velvia for Professionals (RVP) due to difficulties in procuring some of the key raw materials used to produce the product. However, since the last stocks were sold earlier last year, the company received many requests from photographers worldwide to restart manufacturing, as they had used Velvia for many years and consider it unmatched in terms of quality and character.

Fujifilm data storage accessory portfolio : Fujifilm, the leading provider of data storage media in the US, announced an expanded data storage accessory portfolio including the new Fujifilm Data Tape Courier Professional Case for secure transport of data storage media. The case was created and certified to Fujifilm quality guidelines based on customer requests for solutions to help address increasing regulatory requirements on the storage and handling of data. “New Federal data retention and storage regulations are making data center managers not only review how they store backup and archive files, but where and how they physically transport them,” said Dan Greenberg, Product Planning Manager, Fujifilm Recording Media Division.
