Artists included in this important exhibition: Mariana Yampolsky, Flor Garduño, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Graciela Iturbide, Cristina García Rodero, Delilah Montoya and Marta María Pérez Bravo. This exhibition does not really classify a woman’s vision or a Latin vision. It merely unfolds a rich landscape of imagery perhaps only a Latin woman can see. For example, Lola Alvarez Bravo’s portrait of the painter Frida Kahlo reveal more than this enigmatic subject. Bravo allows into the frame the mirrors and objects and pets that meant so much to Frida, as Frida included in her own paintings.
