Pentax Camera business results : In the Imaging System Business, two series of the digital single-lens reflex camera, the one named “K100D” which was put on sale in July, 2006 and the other named “K10D” put on the market in November in the same year, were highly evaluated in both domestic and overseas markets, increased its sales. As a result, the overall net sales in the Imaging System Business amounted to 60,879 million yen (up 15.9% from the year-earlier period). The operating income drastically improved from the year-earlier level and amounted to 1,974 million yen (compare with an operating loss of 938 million yen) as a result of efforts put into reduction in costs such as selling, general and administrative expenses, etc.

Olympus Imaging America chooses advertising agency : Olympus Imaging America announced that it has chosen Deutsch Inc., located in New York City (USA), as its advertising agency of record for creative and media planning and buying responsibilities.
