Baby Photo Contest by Canon : Canon, a leader in digital imaging technology, has announced a “New Baby Photo Contest” offering contestants the opportunity to share eligible images of new additions to their family, and possibly win a prize that will help to pay for future education costs. “When a newborn is welcomed into the family, parents want to make sure every precious memory is captured and preserved,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon USA. “By entering this photo contest, parents will be able to share these joyous and once-in-a-lifetime moments with others, while also having the opportunity to win prizes that can allow them to capture more milestone events.”

Canon Contest : Canon announced its first ever, “So You Want to Be a Pop Star?” online sweepstakes. Consumers can log onto the PowerShot web site and enter for their chance to win an exciting trip to New York City and tickets to Z100’s Jingle Ball 2007. Canon fans can enter the “So You Want to Be a Pop Star” sweepstakes by simply logging onto the PowerShot site and entering their name, e-mail address and phone number. Ten finalists will be chosen at random on November 19. Finalists will receive a new Canon PowerShot SD870 IS Digital Elph camera to record a sixty-second video for the Web site that showcases their talents, whether that means singing, dancing or any other skill they think qualifies them to be a pop star!

The photography competition is seeking entries that brings a fresh photographic style to the fashion magazine pages, and captures the spirit and quality of Harper's BAZAAR. Do you love fashion photography and are photography student or photo enthusiast who has never been previously published? If so, then we invite you to submit your creative work for consideration. The judges will include Harper's BAZAAR editor Alison Veness-McGourty, style director Mark Vassallo, creative director Lyndal Hillary-Frollano, renowned photographer Sam Haskins, and Stuart Poignand from Canon Australia.
