National Trust climate change exhibition : Climate change is constantly making headlines and governments all over the world are being pressured to introduce policies to slow down its effects. But what are the likely impacts of climate change on daily life in Britain and what are its wide-ranging and often surprising effects? The National Trust has challenged ten of the UK’s top photographers to capture this story on film. Over the past year they have been on location, visiting the Trust’s historic houses, gardens, countryside and coastline - and talking to the people who care for these special places. The result is a stunning new photographic exhibition, Exposed: Climate Change in Britain’s Backyard.

Low cost HD radio receiver : Radiosophy, LLC, announced a HD Radio receiver scheduled to begin shipping in May 2007. The HD100 is a fully-featured entry-level HD Radio which will retail for $119.95. For a limited time only, Radiosophy is offering the HD100 at an introductory price of $99.95. To take advantage of this special offer, orders must be placed by June 30th, 2007. The HD100 features a line-in input which allows users to play MP3 and other audio devices through the radio speakers. Also, the receiver has a “scan HD” feature allowing the tuner to scan only for HD Radio stations in the listening area. As soon as the radio detects a digital station, an indicator light blinks until the receiver locks on that station.

Consumer electronics recycling grant program : Best Buy has unveiled a consumer electronics recycling grant program to help increase the recycling opportunities available in communities across the country. The program is part of Best Buy’s commitment to help consumers nationwide make safe, responsible decisions when disposing of old and unwanted consumer electronics. The program will provide two streams of grants - the first stream will provide support for events hosted by 501 3 nonprofit organizations. The second stream will support events hosted by other organizations. Grants will range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and scope of each organization’s event program and the recycling need in the area.
