MEG-IP5 Network Camera : Audio Video Supply, Inc, a San Diego distributor first in surveillance systems, introduces its new 5 Megapixel Sensitive IP Camera, MEG-IP5. The MEG-IP5 MegaVideo technology delivers full motion HDTV resolution of 2560 x 1600 in either day or night. This is 15 times the resolution of the best surveillance analog cameras on the market. Its cinema compatible video frame rate of up to 15fps allows high definition digital video surveillance with ultra forensic zooming after the event in the available picture-in-picture mode. The MEG-IP5 ½” optical format ip sensitive camera also has a sensitivity up to 1 lux @ F1.4, which allows excellent real-time motion detection up to 64 separate zones for each channel.

Full frame cameras with FireWire connection : Audio Video Supply, Inc. has introduced its FWD line of progressive scan cameras, the first to utilize FireWire-B (IEEE-1394.b) technology, resulting in transfer rates of 800 Mbps or twice that of FireWire-A or USB 2.0 cameras. The Machine Vision market is expected to use the new technology to leverage speed into increases production. Firewire-A and USB 2.0 is the current standard for many OEM applications involving robotic vision, semiconductor inspection and assembly, microscopy and electronic surveillance. The FireWire-B enables the transfer rate of 800 Mbps. In addition to increasing transfer rates, FireWire-B enables the cameras to achieve imaging results with less signal distortion.
