Sony Alpha A100 : Sony is jumping into the digital single lens reflex (D-SLR) camera market with today’s introduction of the a (alpha) DSLR-A100 system. The system combines advanced SLR features with other Sony digital imaging innovations. With its 10.2-megapixel APS CCD image sensor, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A100 camera is expected to have the highest resolution available in its class. It will be introduced with 19 high-quality Sony lenses, and will be compatible with most of the former Konica-Minolta Maxxum mount lenses. The system will include a wide range of accessories as well. Sony developed a new Dynamic Range Optimizer image analysis technology to provide exceptional picture quality and natural color reproduction, along with a new Bionz image processing engine.

Sony Alpha : Thanks to Kai Thon from DigIT we can inform you about Sony's latest hot digital imaging product; the Sony Alpha digital SLR camera. Toru Katsumoto, Senior General Manager of AMC Division, Digital Imaging Business Group of Sony Corporation made some interesting statements in the following interview that is published at the Sony website. "Ever since Sony and Konica Minolta began collaborating on a joint digital SLR camera project in July 2005, I have seen many similarities in our corporate cultures. Sony is renowned for its unceasing exploration of new avenues, while Konica Minolta has a long history of developing groundbreaking technologies, like the world's first auto-focus SLR camera and an exclusive anti-shake system."

Sony Cybershot DSC-T30 : Sony is building up its arsenal of anti-blur, digital still cameras with the introduction of the new 7.2 Megapixel Sony Cybershot DSC T30 model. “When people are out having a good time, they don’t want to spend it learning how to avoid taking blurry pictures,” said James Neal, director of marketing for digital imaging products at Sony Electronics. “We’ve engineered our flagship T-series camera with intelligent, automatic features so people can spend more time having fun and less time understanding technology.” The Sony Cybershot DSC-T30 camera will be available next month for about $500 direct at SonyStyle.com, at Sony Style retail stores, and at authorized dealers nationwide.
