SanDisk 2GB Ultra II SD Plus card : SanDisk Corp. today introduced a 2-gigabyte SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus card, thus doubling the capacity of its award-winning storage card that combines USB connectivity and flash memory storage. The card looks and functions like a typical SD card and its high speed makes it ideal for digital cameras, camera phones and digital video cameras. Folding the unique card in half reveals a high-speed USB 2.0 connector that plugs into any USB port to easily and quickly transfer photos or other data to a computer without the need for a separate card reader. The announcement was made at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) Show at the Orange County Convention Center where SanDisk demonstrates its products.

SanDisk 4GB Ultra II Memory Stick Pro Duo memory card : With increasing sales of high-resolution digital cameras, video camcorders and other electronics devices that require more memory capacity and speed, SanDisk Corporation today announced the 4-gigabyte (GB) SanDisk Ultra II Memory Stick PRO Duo card. The addition of this card to its high-speed SanDisk Ultra II line of flash memory cards represents a doubling of its highest capacity card in this card format. The announcement was made at the Photo Marketing Association trade show where SanDisk is demonstrating its products.

SanDisk gruvi Rolling Stones Music Card wins award : SanDisk Corporation’s innovative gruvi music flash memory card, bearing the latest album of the Rolling Stones, has scored a prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Award from the recently-concluded Consumer Electronics Show 2006 (CES) in Las Vegas. The honor capped a series of year-ending and New Year’s accolades for SanDisk products. The gruvi music card, made possible through a unique secure content distribution technology called TrustedFlash, consists of the Stone’s “A Bigger Bang” release from EMI Music, digital photos of the band and dozens of tracks from four back catalog albums that can be purchased through e-commerce transactions.

SanDisk miniSD 2GB memory card : SanDisk expands its mobile line by introducing a SanDisk 2GB miniSD card (up from 1GB) with the aim of accommodating consumers' increasing demand for accessing photos, music and video on their phone. SanDisk's suggested retail prices for the newest card is $199.99 for the 2GB miniSD. The 2GB miniSD card will be available in the United States initially through Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless Communications Stores will sell SanDisk's flash memory cards for mobile phones. The new SanDisk 2GB miniSD flash memory cards are expected to be available through those stores in February. The SanDisk miniSD flash cards are sold in co-branded Verizon Wireless/SanDisk packaging.


SanDisk microSD 1GB memory card

SanDisk microSD 1GB memory card : SanDisk introduces the SanDisk microSD 1GB card, the world's smallest flash memory card. Originally developed by SanDisk and formerly known as TransFlash, the fingernail-sized card will be able to store up to 32 hours of WMA-compressed music, or approximately 480 songs, downloaded from Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music service to compatible phones. The 1GB microSD card will be available in the United States initially through Verizon Wireless. The SanDisk 1GB microSD card comes with an adapter allowing it to be used in a standard SD slot. The previous highest capacity for the SanDisk microSD was 512MB. Verizon Wireless Communications Stores will sell SanDisk's flash memory cards for mobile phones.

SanDisk Cruzer Micro U3 upgrade : SanDisk announced a significant enhancement to its line of award-winning Cruzer Micro and Cruzer Titanium USB flash drives. The two models feature a sleek new design and include software that turns them into ‘U3 smart drives’ so users can access their “personal workspace”, software programs, personal preferences, personal files and data as well as the means for managing them within a highly secure environment, on any personal computer running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000. The new Cruzer models were unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The Cruzer Micro will be available in capacities that range from 512MB to 4GB, while capacities for the Cruzer Titanium will be 1GB and 2GB.

SanDisk Cruzer Crossfire USB drive : Building on its strong entry into the handheld gaming market with high-capacity flash memory cards, SanDisk Corporation today introduced a gaming-oriented USB smart drive, the SanDisk Cruzer Crossfire, to serve the needs of console and PC video gamers. The announcement was made at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas, U.S.A. The SanDisk Cruzer Crossfire will be available in four color-coded capacities: 512 megabytes (MB) in green, 1 gigabyte (GB) in white, 2GB in black and 4GB in blue. The drive comes with an attractive metallic lanyard that attaches to a snap-on cap. When connected to a USB-enabled device, the Crossfire’s indicator light pulses lime-green.
