SanDisk RapidGX Memory Stick PRO Duo Gaming Card : SanDisk introduced RapidGX, a high-performance Memory Stick PRO Duo Game card that offers a quick and easy way to capture and store movies, games, digital images and music to the Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable). The announcement was made at E3, where SanDisk is showing its new line of gaming products in Meeting Rooms 6809 and 6811, Kentia Hall, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The SanDisk RapidGX card offers a complete content solution for owners of the popular handheld gaming and video device. It comes with software that allows PSP owners to convert and transfer a host of multimedia files from a personal computer to a PSP, through a simple drag-and-drop interface.

SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Game card : SanDisk today responded to the growing demand from power users of the popular Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable by introducing a 4GB SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Duo Game card that can store up to 64 hours of MP3 music tracks, 20 hours of movies/videos/film trailers or 4,000 digital images. The announcement was made at E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where SanDisk is showing its new gaming products in Meeting Rooms 6809 and 6811 in Kentia Hall. The SanDisk 4GB card, which is expected to ship this month, carries a suggested retail price of $219.99. Other capacities in the Memory Stick Gaming Card line include 256 megabytes at $34.99, 512MB at $44.99, 1GB at $59.99 and 2GB at $109.99.

SanDisk CompactFlash memory card for camcorders : SanDisk Corporation announced today that flash memory CompactFlash cards, which it originally invented, will be used in the new Grass Valley Infinity Series Digital Media Camcorder. The camcorder, which debuted in the United States on Saturday, has slots for two CompactFlash cards. It is the first camcorder introduced in the broadcast industry that uses non-proprietary, removable, solid-state flash memory cards as recording and playback media. SanDisk’s flash memory cards offer a number of advantages over videotape, the traditional storage medium for video cameras. First of all, they are re-usable with no degradation in picture quality.

The announcement was made at the CeBIT Show in Hannover, Germany, where SanDisk is demonstrating its products. The move to a larger capacity 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card is in response to the release of new high-Megapixel cameras as well as hybrid models that combine digital still images and video. For example, one new camera that takes both high-resolution still images and high-quality MPEG4 video clips, at 30 frames per second, can provide a user with up to three hours of video capacity with a SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card.

SanDisk 8GB Extreme III CompactFlash memory card : SanDisk Corp. today announced the addition of new card capacities to its Extreme III line of flash cards for professional digital cameras that are double the highest capacity points currently available. The new cards include the 8-gigabyte CompactFlash, 2GB SD and 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo digital film cards. The announcement was made at the Photo Marketing Association trade show where SanDisk is demonstrating its products. SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash and SD cards have minimum write and read speeds of 20 megabytes per second (MB/sec.) Memory Stick PRO Duo cards have minimum write and read speeds of 18 MB/sec. The cards will start shipping worldwide in March to photo retailers.
