Samsung SPH-V8200 8 Megapixel phone

Samsung SPH-V8200 8 Megapixel camera phone : Samsung Electronics has unveiled the SPH-V8200, an 8 Megapixel WCDMA camera phone. The company also introduced the Samsung SPH-B4100, a dual digital multimedia broadcasting phone. The two phones were unveiled on Thursday by Lee Ki-tae, president of Samsung's Telecommunications Network. The Samsung SPH-V8200 mobile phone features a TFT LCD that supports 16 million colors. It also has an auto focus function. Lee Ki-tae said the image quality of the phone's 8 Megapixel digital camera was as good as that of an expert-class digital camera. The mobile phone has also been packed with several advanced features. Samsung Electronics plans to market the phone in the Korean market later this month.

Samsung HDSPA phone at CES 2006 : Samsung, a leading provider of mobile phones and telecom systems, reinforce its technology leadership with the world's first successful demonstration of High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology, reaching speeds up to 3.6 Mbps, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Although there have been several demonstrations of speeds up to 1.8 Mbps in the past, Samsung's demonstration of HSDPA handset speeds of 3.6 Mbps is the industry's first ever. Web browsing, as well as streaming and downloading of content, will be demonstrated to compare with speeds of 1.8 Mbps and 384Kbps. Samsung's 3.6 Mbps HSDPA handset allows users to download content much faster than on WCDMA or GSM/GPRS networks.


Samsung SGH i300 includes 3GB storage

Samsung SGH i300 includes 3GB storage : Cornice Inc., an innovator in consumer storage solutions, announced Samsung has included the 3.0-gigabyte Storage Element (SE) in the production of its Samsung SGH-i300 embedded music smartphone. The Samsung i300 phone was announced during CeBIT 2005 and is available on retail shelves for European customers as of November 2005. This phone is aimed at bringing audio, video, personal storage and traditional voice communications together in one device. Cornice will provide for Samsung's line of high storage capacity mobile phones. Previous models include the SPH-V5400, with a 1.5-gigabyte Cornice SE, and the SPH-V7900 video camera phone, with a 3.0-gigabyte Cornice SE.
