The Olympus E-330 dSLR incorporates 7.5 Megapixel LiveMos sensor and a ground-breaking Live View LCD innovation. Due to this innovation photographers can see what is going on around them while capturing images. The 2.5 inch LCD can be tilted which increases the versatility of the Olympus E550 dSLR camera. The LiveMos sensor offers image quality comparable to an FFT-CCD but with the low power requirements of an MOS. On top of the four exposure modes, 20 pre-defined scene modes and 7 creative modes are available to suit most situations.

DCViews Kodak P880 and Fuji S9000 comparison : The Dutch portal web site DCViews has published a 2-in-1 review, a side-by-side review of two comparable digital cameras. The Kodak EasyShare P880 and the Fujifilm FinePix S9000 make their appearance in a one-to-one digital camera comparison. Both digital cameras are packed with attractive features and provide 8 and 9 Megapixel resolution. The Kodak P880 offers a wider angle (24mm), but the Fujifilm S9000 provides more tele (300mm). Both digital cameras are more or less hybrid models, looking like a digital SLR, but without interchangeable lenses. It is interesting to learn about the differences between two competitors and DCViews has put them together in a comparison table.

Samsung GX-1S preview : For years Samsung introduced compact camera models, but after announcing the agreement with Pentax to cooperate and jointly develop new digital camera products, we see Samsung entering the digital SLR market as well. About a month ago Samsung announced the Samsung GX-1S dSLR camera, those of you who are familiar with the Pentax *ist DS2 digital SLR camera will notice that the specifications of the two models are 99.9% identical. The Samsung GX 1S features an effective 6.1 Megapixel resolution, incorporates an 11-point AF sensor, includes a high-speed consecutive shooting mode of up to 2.8 frames per second, up to eight frames in JPEG shooting and up to five frames per second when shooting in Raw Mode.
