Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-21 10:01:00
Nikon Coolpix S6 review at PhotographyBLOG : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S6 digital compact camera. The Nikon S6 features the new Pictmotion function which let users create much more than just a slideshow, indeed it enables a radically new form of in-camera entertainment. This allows users to select favourite images and movie files, pick a style, and then select a music file from one of the five pre-installed files in the camera. Pictmotion then automatically analyses these elements to produce highly entertaining shows that are coupled with pace and transition selected to match the chosen music and style. The Nikon Coolpix S6 also features a high-quality 3x Zoom-Nikkor ED lens.

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-21 10:00:00
Olympus FE-115 review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Olympus FE-115 camera. The Olympus FE115 boasts 5.0 million pixels and includes a 2.8x optical zoom for added versatility. The 2.8x zoom lens enhances shooting flexibility due to its capability to bring far away subjects in closer. In combination with the 4x digital zoom, the Olympus FE-115 camera can even achieve an overall magnification of more than 11x. Thanks to PictBridge support this model can be connected directly to compatible printers (e.g. the Olympus P-11, which prints in just 33 seconds), eliminating the need to go via a computer. In Super Macro mode, images may be captured from as little as 2cm away.

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-21 09:10:00
Nikon S6 review at Photoxels : DIWA member Yin Wong from Photoxels has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S6 digital compact camera. The Nikon S6 features a 3.0 inch LCD monitor, and because this monitor offers a surprisingly wide viewing angle of 170° (both horizontal and vertical), such in-camera entertainment can be enjoyed by everyone at the same time. The Nikon Coolpix S6 also boasts a new One-touch portrait button making it much simpler to take better quality pictures by offering easy access to Nikon's unique Face-priority AF, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix and D-Lighting functions. With Face-priority AF, the camera can automatically detect people's faces in the frame, no matter where they are located, to produce sharply focused portraits.

Fujifilm FinePix Z2 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-17 22:25:00
Fujifilm FinePix Z2 review : It was hardly surprising when Fujifilm came up with a follow up to the successful Fujifilm FinePix Z1 camera. The first model from the Z series of cameras was already an innovative piece of digital technology and the Fujifilm FinePix Z2 has been developed further. With 5.1 million pixels, the Fujifilm Z2 camera can guarantee attractive enlargements and thanks to the integration of the Super CCD HR image sensor developed within their company, Fujifilm can also guarantee excellent pixel quality. Fujifilm has found enough space is this compact design for a 3x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 6.1 - 18.3mm that is equivalent to a 36 - 108mm zoom lens in a 35mm format camera.

Casio Exilim Z60 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-06 00:00:01
Casio Exilim Z60 review : At the beginning of this year, just before the start of the PMA 2006, Casio introduced a series of new Exilim digital cameras, including the ultra compact Casio Exilim EX Z60 camera. This 'credit card' sized camera has extremely compact measurements, and the breadth of just 19.8mm (the thinnest point is even 16.2mm) will totally amaze many consumers. The Casio Exilim Z60 has a resolution of 6 Megapixels and a 3x optical zoom. The resolution is slightly better than that of its predecessor, the Casio Z50 and six Megapixels is the applicable norm nowadays. The recently introduced 10 Megapixel Casio Exilim EX Z1000 compact camera is proof that Casio has no intention of dropping out of this Megapixel race.
