Pentax K100D review

Dennis Hissink : 2006-10-29 19:30:00
Pentax K100D D-SLR review : This year Pentax have given their series of digital SLR cameras another complete update. This means we finally see the end of the rather ridiculous name *ist D; which didn't exactly appeal to the imagination, if you even managed to pronounce it at all. The new series digital SLR cameras now go by the names of K100D, K110D and K10D. Although these may all seem to be rather random names upon first glance, things couldn't be more different. The -K refers to the beginnings of the Pentax K-bayonet, which marks its 30th anniversary this year. With the reference to the K-bayonet, Pentax assert that they intend to be a force to be reckoned with, just as they have been in the past. We had the opportunity to test the Pentax K100D, the successor of the *ist DS2.

Pentax Optio W10 review

Dennis Hissink : 2006-10-17 12:30:00
Pentax Optio W10 digital camera review : It seems that Pentax have gotten a taste for photography on and around the water. The Pentax W-series of digital cameras made its debut with the Optio 33WR, which was introduced in 2003, followed by the Optio 43WR. Initially sporting a square design, the series evolved to the current measurements in January 2005, with the introduction of the Optio WP, the WPi, and now the W10 digital camera. As far as design is concerned, the Pentax Optio W10 resembles a standard digital compact camera. In fact, it fits this description in many different ways. However, there's more to it than that: the Pentax W10 offers you the chance to explore the underwater world, a reasonably unique additional feature.

Pentax Photokina booth

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-10-09 20:28:47
Pentax booth at Photokina : The Pentax booth also got quite a lot of attention, most of it for one product; the new Pentax K10D digital SLR camera. The Pentax K10D, featuring ten Megapixel CCD, anti-dust and image stabilization, is a very interesting digital SLR camera that will need to compete against other ten Megapixel DSLR cameras from brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Samsung and Olympus for a share of the market. A lot of consumers were eager to touch and try the new K10D themselves and we heard a lot of positive reactions about the operation and build of the camera.

Pentax K10D video review

Dennis Hissink : 2006-10-05 01:00:00
Pentax K10D video review : Some of you may be interested in seeing the Pentax K10D in action. Well, there is a Pentax K10D video review out there, so your wish maybe granted! The new Pentax K10D digital SLR camera combines 10.2 effective Megapixels with a host of advanced technologies - including the Pentax-original Shake Reduction (SR) system - to deliver high-quality digital SLR photography and responsive operations to advanced amateurs and experienced hobbyists. The Pentax K10D DSLR also includes Dust Removal (DR) system to keep dust off the CCD surface, a Pentax-original exposure system for faithful reproduction of the photographer’s creative intentions, and a dependable dust-proof, water-resistant body construction.

Pentax digital camera concepts

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-10-03 02:04:00
Pentax digital camera concepts : At the Pentax booth the new Pentax K10D draw quit a lot of attention which is honestly not surprising. We believe Pentax has an interesting digital SLR that is able to conquer an impressive market share in the segment of 10 Megapixel digital SLR cameras. Although the Pentax K10 is their latest introduction, other products drew our attention. Pentax showcased some digital camera concepts which were quite interesting. What about the Pentax L-size digital camera concept which is a concept idea to develop a digital camera with an integrated photo album. This concept, created in 2002, was developed to find out how to integrate a large 3-inch LCD display into a compact camera and change the operation by incorporating a touch-screen function.
