Panasonic Lumix DMC L1 review

Mark Peters : 2006-12-20 12:00:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC L1 review : Panasonic have been making digital compact cameras for years. Remarkable features include MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilisation) and lenses that sport the Leica name. However, it seems that Panasonic are eager for more. The Japanese brand wants to be regarded as a full-fledged camera manufacturer. To achieve this, they need a DSLR, which is still considered the showpiece in the world of photography. Panasonic decided to join forces with Olympus. Olympus possess many years of SLR experience, whilst Panasonic know more than a thing or two about electronics. The result of this cooperation is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1. An interesting camera, which clearly shows Panasonic intend to take things seriously.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 review

Mark Peters : 2006-11-07 00:30:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 digital camera review : As more and more digital SLR cameras are becoming attractively priced, the market for high-end compact cameras seems to have shrunk significantly. Undeserved perhaps, as the top class segment offers first-rate compact cameras that can almost compete with a digital SLR as far as quality is concerned, and offer the additional bonus of being considerably more compact. Moreover, there are plenty of interesting, perky models, such as -for instance- the so-called Megazoom cameras, which certainly have an identity of their own. Although we must say these too seem to have suffered a recent loss of popularity. Panasonic, however, remain an advocate for the super zoom, and the brand recently introduced the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-09-07 10:10:10
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 digital camera review : This February, Panasonic introduced the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 digital compact camera in Lisbon. During the introduction, it soon became clear that it was an extremely compact Mega zoom camera, in fact, one of the world's smallest Mega zoom digital cameras with 10x optical zoom. As well as its compact size, the Panasonic Lumix TZ1 has 5 million effective pixels from a 6.37 Megapixel CCD image sensor. One of this electronic giant's major achievements is the application of the MEGA O.I.S. throughout the entire range of Panasonic digital cameras. This sort of image stabilizer is essential in a Mega zoom digital camera because the strong enlargement factor and light weight of the cameras.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-06-25 20:06:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 review : Panasonic are clearly hard at work to assert their presence in the digital camera market. Lumix is starting to become a familiar name to many consumers, a fact that is more than welcomed by Panasonic, who know how to put this brand awareness to clever use. The Panasonic Lumix DMC LZ5 is the latest model in the LZ-series. With 6 Megapixels and a 6x optical zoom combined with an optical image stabiliser, the consumer is offered a truly full-fledged digital camera. The Panasonic Lumix LZ5, which became available several months ago, comes in a silver and a black edition. We've been able to test the Panasonic DMC LZ5 in practise for a while. Our experiences can be read in the following Panasonic DMC LZ5 review.

Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ7 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-13 23:40:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ7 digital camera review : Early this year Panasonic introduced the successor of the FZ5: the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ7 digital camera. Besides the upgrade from 5 to 6 Megapixels, the Panasonic Lumix FZ7 is equipped with several extra settings. The entire camera has in fact undergone a small facelift. The 1.8 inch monitor, for instance, has been replaced by a large format 2.5 inch display. The avid movie fan will be pleased to see a VGA (640x480 pixels) video and 16:9 function. Improvements have also been made to the housing; which is more streamlined and has somewhat rounder corners. Compared to its predecessor, it is even slightly larger.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-04-08 02:05:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 preview : Just before the start of the PMA 2006 in Orlando, Panasonic introduced a new model of its Lumix series. The new Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ1, of which we will give you a more in-depth preview, is the world's most compact digital camera incorporating a 10x optical zoom lens. The body is compact and it is nothing short of amazing that Panasonic has succeeded in integrating such a large optical zoom into such a compact camera. In addition, Panasonic has incorporated its Mega O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which enables you to use it in the field without carrying a tripod with you. Without this, just forget about taking pictures with a telezoom,; the result would only be blurry images.
