Interview Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 SLR

Panasonic interview : At the Photo Marketing Trade Show (PMA 2006), we have interviewed Suguru Takamatsu, Coordinator Marketing Team Overseas Sales & Marketing Group and Ichiro Kitao, Product Planning Manager, from Panasonic Optical Group. At the start of the PMA 2006 Panasonic introduced their first digital SLR camera. The introduced was held just before the official start of the PMA. The press conference was attended by hundreds of journalist from all over the world. The Panasonic Lumix L1 is a 7.5 Megapixel DSRL camera with some unique features like anti dust filter and live view mode. We asked Suguru and Ichiro about Panasonic's first digital SLR camera, the Lumix DMC L1 and future developments.

Panasonic AK-HC1500 Switchable HD camera : Panasonic introduced industry’s first compact, 1080i/720 switchable HD camera, the AK-HC1500, at NAB 2006. Compatible with all international HD standards, the multi-format camera is ideally suited for assignments ranging from studio use and weather forecasting to live sports and videoconferencing, from true 24p film-like image capture to scientific image analysis and studio animation applications. The AK-HC1500 also debuts as the first camera to feature a variable frame rate functionality and cine gamma curve, features that have distinguished the company’s popular VariCam HD Cinema Camcorder. This variable frame rate feature is key to many special effects and sports-related applications.


Panasonic PT-P1SDU projector

Panasonic PT-P1SDU projector : The Panasonic Projector Systems Company introduced at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) convention the ultra-portable, ultra-versatile PT-P1SDU, a projector that's perfect for the in-home viewing of digital photos and movies and just as adept for displaying business presentations on the road and in the office. The PT-P1SDU is the world's lightest and smallest LCD projector, weighing a mere 2.9 pounds with the ultra-slim dimensions of 9-3/16" W x 2-17/32" H x 7-3/8" D (smaller than a sheet of letter-sized paper). The unit delivers 1,500 ANSI lumens of brightness and an array of time-saving display features. The Panasonic PT-P1SD projector will be available in April at a suggested list price of $1,199

Olympus & Panasonic Four Thirds System SLR cameras

Olympus and Panasonic Four Thirds System SLR cameras : Olympus and Panasonic have been engaged in joint development of cameras that comply with the Four Thirds System standard for interchangeable-lens-type digital SLR cameras, and will display the fruit of their labors at the PMA 2006 International Convention and Trade Show that starts today, February 26, in Orlando, Florida. Olympus will exhibit the E-330, a recently introduced digital SLR that incorporates jointly developed technologies, and Panasonic will announce development of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1, its first digital SLR camera. A prototype of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 digital SLR will also be exhibited at the PMA 2006 Show in Orlando.


Panasonic enters agreement with Picabo Street

Panasonic enters agreement with Picabo Street : Panasonic Corporation of North America announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Picabo Street to help support the company’s Olympic initiative, which will focus on building national awareness for Panasonic’s global sponsorship of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. Panasonic will involve Ms. Street in a variety of marketing and communication initiatives, including in-market appearances to help support Panasonic’s “Kid Witness News” program through which the company provides video equipment to more than 200 schools around the country allowing students to develop valuable skills through the use of video.
