Improvements have also been made to the housing; which is more streamlined and has somewhat rounder corners. Compared to its predecessor, it is even slightly larger.

The new Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ1, of which we will give you a more in-depth preview, is the world's most compact digital camera incorporating a 10x optical zoom lens. The body is compact and it is nothing short of amazing that Panasonic has succeeded in integrating such a large optical zoom into such a compact camera. In addition, Panasonic has incorporated its Mega O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which enables you to use it in the field without carrying a tripod with you. Without this, just forget about taking pictures with a telezoom,; the result would only be blurry images.
