Nikon Capture NX software : Nikon Inc., Melville, N.Y., USA, has begun shipping the new Capture NX software to Nikon authorized retailers across the nation. Capture NX is designed specifically for photographers, providing a unique and easy-to-understand interface with tools that photographers need, but without the level of complexity and clutter of other image-editing applications, says the company. The software can be used with JPEG- and TIFF-format images from any source. Its newly patented U Point technology offers photographers a simplified way to edit their pictures by enabling them to enhance specific areas of a picture selectively, without the use of masks, selections, or blayers.
