Nokia N71 (Vodafone 804NK) : Nokia today announced that it has started deliveries of Nokia N71 to Vodafone K.K. in Japan. The "Nokia N71" is its first product to be introduced in Japan under the Nokia Nseries sub-brand, Nokia's high performance multimedia range with sophisticated design. The Nokia N71 customized for Vodafone K.K. will be marketed in Vodafone K.K.'s 3G lineup under the name "Nokia N71 (Vodafone 804NK)" and will be commercially available in Japan from August 12. The Nokia N71 (Vodafone 804NK) delivers excellent 3G functionality as a rich multimedia device, which is compactly packaged in a simple yet elegant form. The Nokia N71 (Vodafone 804NK) keeps consumers entertained with the music player function and FM radio.

Online Video player market grows : While 2006 has seen a rapid increase in consumers' use of online video, spurred by the breakout success of websites such as YouTube, the vast majority of video content delivered over the Internet is still held captive on the PC. ABI Research believes that over the next five years new viewing options such as network-enabled video players and download-to-burn will add momentum and broaden the overall market by giving consumers additional choices in how they consume video content. "The percentage of Internet-delivered video viewed on a portable device will go from just 3% today to 16% by 2011," says principal analyst Michael Wolf. It’s a move to portable viewing.

The Silicon Laboratories Si4701 incorporates a digital processor for the RDS and the Radio Broadcast Data System, which includes all the required RDS / RBDS symbol decoding, block synchronization and error detection and correction functions.
