Microsoft Hardware meets these needs with its expanded digital communications line, which consists of the Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000 (the company’s first webcam designed exclusively for laptop use), the LifeCam VX-1000, and two new digital headsets - LifeChat ZX-6000 and LifeChat LX-3000 - all optimized for use with Windows Live Messenger, the world’s largest instant messaging network, providing a simple and natural communications experience.

Microsoft Windows Vista exhibited at MemCon : Denali Software, announced that it will open the fifth annual MemCon San Jose Conference and Exhibition, the largest gathering of memory professionals, with a half-day symposium September 12 on the new Windows Vista operating system and how memory will enhance the Windows Vista experience. "The symposium at MemCon is an ideal way for us to reach those in the system designer community who are eager to learn about Windows Vista first hand," said J. Borden, Hardware Evangelist, Microsoft Corporation. "Flash-based technologies, such as Windows ReadyBoost enhance a Windows Vista user's experience, so we are delighted to participate event that demonstrate how to work with these technologies."

Microsoft Pro Photographer Contest : Brooks Institute announced today that Ho Young Choi, a recent graduate, was awarded first place honors in the category People & Portraits in Microsoft Corporation’s inaugural and groundbreaking Future Pro Photographer contest. Choi competed among more than 7,700 students from over 90 countries. It’s considered a landmark effort by the software maker and reinforces Microsoft’s commitment to photography and to its ongoing development of technology and services aimed at furthering the profession. Choi, who graduated in June 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Photography concentrating on Portraiture and Commercial Photography, entitles his award-winning entry ‘The Faces.’

Microsoft Zune : According to an article at TWICE we soon may expect official information about the rumored answer of Microsoft on the ongoing success of the Apple iPod strategy. Ami Gilroy, editor at TWICE, claims "Microsoft is in the process of unveiling its line of Microsoft Zune portable digital audio players" to its retailers. The Microsoft Zune MP3 player supposes to incorporate a 30GB hard drive and a LCD monitor larger than its Apple rival. Additionally it is also expected that the Microsoft Zune audio player is capable of transferring its data via Wi-Fi connection. Pricing of the Zune media player would be $299 and available in three colors. Although the information is at this moment not official, it is interesting.
