Securewave & Lexar offer enterprise level solutions : SecureWave today announced a partnership with Lexar Media, a leading manufacturer of removable flash memory cards and USB flash drives, to develop and market an enterprise-class privacy solution for controlling personal storage devices. The companies plan to jointly make available solutions that will provide more granular control and cryptographic security for portable storage devices to ensure compliance with regulations, prevent malicious and unintentional data leakage, and preserve corporate assets. Additionally, Lexar becomes the first vendor to join the SecureWave Hardware Vendor Partnership Program, the industry's first certification program for portable storage media.

Lexar files complaint against Toshiba : Lexar Media, a world leader in digital media technologies, today filed a formal complaint with the International Trade Commission against Toshiba, Toshiba America Electronic Components, seeking to halt the infringement of Lexar's intellectual property rights. In this complaint, Lexar asserts that Toshiba's chips and flash cards, including among others, Toshiba's 16-gigabit multi-level cell NAND flash chips, Toshiba's 8-gigabit single level cell and multi-level cell NAND flash chips, Toshiba's 4-gigabit multi-level cell NAND flash chips and Toshiba's 1-gigabit single level cell NAND flash chips, infringe Lexar's United States Patent Nos. 6,801,979; 6,397,314; and 6,978,342.
