Leaf AFi medium-format digital camera : Leaf, designer of digital backs for professional photographers, announced today the introduction of the Leaf AFi - a new, next generation, medium-format digital camera aimed at professional photographers. The Leaf AFi is specifically designed for high-resolution digital photography, and is seamlessly integrated with the new Leaf Aptus S-Series digital camera backs. The Leaf AFi product line will include three models: Leaf AFi -75, Leaf AFi -65 and Leaf AFi -54. Leaf Aptus 75S digital camera back : Leaf is launches the world’s fastest digital camera back at Photokina 2006, the industry’s largest trade show, in Cologne, Germany. The new Leaf Aptus 75S camera back can deliver shooting speeds from 0.8 seconds per frame - or as many as 75 frames per minute - with unlimited burst depths. The camera back in the new S-series uses advanced, accelerated image-processing hardware, incorporating a new, lossless image-compression engine, designed to achieve record-breaking speeds. Leaf has doubled the CCD sensor readout speed in order to accelerate shooting speeds, and has doubled the buffer size, resulting in unlimited burst depths.
