Kodak Digital Picture Center : Further strengthening its leadership position in retail digital printing, Eastman Kodak Company today announced the introduction of Kodak Digital Picture Center, a customizable modular easy to operate photo kiosk system, and the Kodak Picture Kiosk G4 Version 1.0 Software upgrade. The Kodak Digital Picture Center includes a “multi station” concept that will virtually revolutionalize how retailers use photo kiosks to make it quick and easy for consumers to print digital pictures. Specifically, the new configuration allows a retailer to connect several Order Stations to a common bank of printers, reducing queue times and improving throughput.

Kodak Endura paper for color digital printing : Reaffirming the company’s continued commitment to the professional photo paper business, Eastman Kodak Company today announced an innovative new addition to the Kodak Endura paper family optimized for color digital printing performance. This new paper provides dramatic image quality improvements, enabling professional photographers to deliver a visually more appealing end product. Specifically designed for the professional portrait and wedding photography marketplace, limited samples of this paper will be available for evaluation and extended trial in the USA and Western Europe beginning in March. Yet to be officially named, general availability for this paper is slated for Q4 of 2006.

Kodak camera phone technology at 3GSM : At 3GSM 2006 in Barcelona, Spain, Eastman Kodak Company, one of the world’s most recognised brands in digital imaging, and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), the leader in semiconductors for mobile phones, will be demonstrating a technology that will bring improvements in camera phone image quality and increased ease of sharing of camera phone images from phone-to-phone, phone-to-web and phone-to-print. Additionally, Kodak and TI will show how users could more easily generate prints from Kodak Kiosks or share their images and memories on the Kodak EasyShare Gallery, also powered by Texas Instruments OMAP2420 processor. The OMAP2420 processor is a member of TI’s widely adopted OMAP platform.

Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations : Eastman Kodak Company was recently named to the list of “Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World.” The list was started last year as a project of Corporate Knights, Inc., with Innovest Value Strategic Advisors as the research analytic data provider. Kodak has been selected for the list in both years of its existence. As noted on the Global 100 website, companies whose sustainability performance falls within the top five per cent of their sector, and have been chosen from among 2,000 of the world's largest corporations. These companies have demonstrated through performance and strategic ability an ability to manage the “triple bottom line” (society, environment, and economy).

Kodak broadens its participation in OLED Technology : Having pioneered production of the world's first full-color, active matrix organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays, Kodak today announced that it will broaden its participation in the OLED industry in order to further promote the commercialization of OLED technology. OLED technology is enabling a new generation of small and large screen display devices. To facilitate the company's move, Kodak has granted full control of SK Display Corporation to Sanyo Electric Company. Kodak and Sanyo formed the SK Display joint venture in 2001 to manufacture OLED displays. Kodak will continue as exclusive licensing agent on behalf of Kodak and Sanyo for certain OLED intellectual property.
