FIPS 140-2, a rigorous federal security accreditation program completed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, sets the standard for encryption algorithms intended for use in protecting sensitive information. Kanguru Solutions is the first company to complete FIPS 140-2 certification for USB2.0 flash drives offering software based Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) protection. The company expects FIPS 140-2 Validation will help its strong base of government and/or military customers meet increasing security requirements.
