JVC 4x single sided dual layer DVD RW disc : Underscoring its expertise in optical disc technologies, JVC today announced the development of the world’s first 4x speed single-sided, dual layer DVD-RW disc technology. Adding the rewritable feature to a single-sided, dual layer disc was made possible by JVC’s development of a high-sensitive recording film, a new recording method that enhances erasability, and a proprietary precision thin film forming technology. JVC also developed a facing film bonding method that enables mass production of the new discs using conventional manufacturing equipment. The breakthrough was first announced in the spring of 2005 for use in producing 2x speed discs.

JVC Everio CU VD10 share station : Owners of select new JVC Everio hard drive camcorders will be able to create DVDs without the need for a PC with the introduction of JVC’s new Everio CU VD10 share station, a DVD burner designed specifically for use with three new JVC Everio G-Series camcorders. The availability of the new JVC Everio CU-VD10 gives users of the company’s Everio hard drive camcorders the best of both worlds – the capacity and convenience of hard drive video recording combined with quick, simple transfer to a DVD. The new JVC CU-VD10 share station, available for about $200, connects via a USB cable to the new Everio GZ-MG27, GZ-MG37 and GZ-MG77 and allows the camcorder to transfer footage directly to a DVD.

JVC GR D350 camcorder : A new camcorder model from JVC MiniDV series made its debut at the CES 2006, offering advancements in performance and handling. The new JVC GR-D350 is distinguished by several new features, including selected models with a 32X optical zoom, 16:9 modes and a built-in tele-conversion lens. JVC’s new GR-D350 MiniDV camcorder is easier to use than ever thanks to a new Auto button, just press the button to switch between manual and automatic operation. And all models feature a new on-screen menu system that sorts menu layers by category, making operation easier. The new JVC D350 mini DV camcorder will be available around February 2006 with an estimated retail price of $300.

For 2006, JVC is introducing the new 30GB model JVC GZ MG77 features a 1/3.9-inch 2.2-megapixel CCD, F1.2 lens, 10X optical zoom, auto flash and 1632 x 1224 stills. It also offers JVC’s Low Light Plus, which combines the F1.2 lens with JVC’s 3D Noise Reduction (3D NR) that reduces video noise by approximately 30 percent and minimizes edge flicker. Pressing the four “compass” points on the circular control operates menu settings, manual controls and playback control.
