JVC Everio GZ-MG505 Hard Disk Drive Camcorder : JVC announced the launch of a hard drive camcorder that combines a 3-CCD imaging device for superior quality video with the long recording time made possible by an internal 30GB hard disk drive. The JVC Everio G Series GZ-MG505, like all Everio G Series camcorders, eliminates the need to carry tapes, discs or any media at all, yet can record up to seven hours of DVD movie-quality video or more than 10 hours at DVD camcorder-quality. To put this storage capacity in context, it would take 22 single sided DVD camcorder discs to hold just seven hours of video at camcorder quality. The JVC Everio GZ-MG505 camcorder will be available in July and will sell for approximately $1,300.00.

Targeted for independent filmmakers and stringers, this high definition camcorder carries the “Compact-Shoulder” form factor popularized by the JVC GY-HD100U, and is capable of HDV720/60P true progressive image acquisition due to the implementation of JVC’s new “Super Encoder” developed for the latest line of ProHD products. 60P provides 60 full frames of information per second, excellent for viewing and analyzing motion, as well as for delivering an “overcranked” recording for superb slow motion when the final output is 24P.

JVC G-series HDD camcorders : JVC’s breakthrough Everio G Series of hard drive camcorders gets even better for 2006, with new features that deliver enhanced performance and make hard drive video recording more attractive than ever. Among the Everio innovations for this year is direct DVD burning, making it possible to create DVDs without a PC using a new JVC DVD burner or JVC-recommended burners from other manufacturers. In addition, the transfer speed has been significantly increased, and a 32X optical zoom, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD and an F1.2 lens are available on selected models. The JVC G-series will be available from February 2006 (GX-MG77 from March 2006) at a manufacturers retail price of $600 - $900.

JVC Everio Share Station DVD burner : Owners of select new JVC Everio hard drive camcorders will be able to create DVDs without the need for a PC with the introduction of JVC’s new Everio Share Station, a DVD burner designed specifically for use with three new JVC Everio G-Series camcorders. The availability of the new JVC Everio CU-VD10 gives users of the company’s Everio hard drive camcorders the best of both worlds - the capacity and convenience of hard drive video recording combined with quick, simple transfer to a DVD. The JVC CU-VD10 Everio Share Station will be available as of April and will be sold at a manufacturer's retail price of $200 in North America.
