Ilford interview

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-10-15 21:02:00
Ilford interview with Ann Carlier : Anyone who has ever made prints in a dark room is bound to know Ilford. It was renowned its fantastic black and white film, papers and chemistry. There is not much demand for such products in the digital age and so Ilford started producing various types of paper for inkjet. Unfortunately, the famous company is still having a hard time despite this measure. At Photokina 2006, however, Ilford presented itself as it had done at its peak, with a large, attractive booth and lots of interesting products. We spoke to Ann Carlier, the sales manager for Benelux and she enthusiastically told us about the products and Ilford's vision.

Ilford photo launches new photography website : Many months in the making, but well worth the wait, Ilford Photo’s new website has gone live and is proving a magnet for everyone with an interest in black-and-white photography. Reaching out to everyone interested or involved in pure photography, the site carries separate ‘Home’ pages for students, educators, professionals and enthusiast photographers. Each of these contains information and links of particular interest to the visitor, and invites visitors to register with information about themselves to create a forum for interactive communications, and to set the basis for future events, promotions and content which will be geared to visitors’ interests and requirements.

Photography student of the year competition

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-03-14 01:10:00
Photography student of the year competition : Reviving Ilford Photo's long-standing support of students of photography, the company has launched what will be an annual Student of the Year competition. More than simply judging Student work (a print judgement), this event offers students the opportunity to not only set up the basis of their equipment with a leading camera system, but also to benefit from working alongside leading professional photographers. There are two stages to the competition: Firstly, students need to submit a portfolio of six black-and-white prints depicting the theme 'The rebirth of black-and-white photography and of Ilford Photo'. Photos need to be submitted by 30 June 2006.
