Fujifilm Face Detection

Dennis Hissink : 2006-07-13 03:00:01
Fujifilm Face Detection : The advanced Fujifilm Face Detection Technology system built into the new Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd digital camera is based on the Image Intelligence technology found in Fujifilm's Frontier Digital Lab Systems, used by photofinishers to produce large volumes of top-quality photo prints. Face Detection is a selectable option the camera user can turn on whenever human subjects are the focal point of a picture. Once Face Detection is activated, it automatically identifies faces in the scene and prioritizes them in as little as 0.05 seconds. It simultaneously displays a green rectangle around the top-priority face, and a white one around other faces before the picture is taken.

Fujifilm FinePix V10 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-06-21 01:06:00
Fujifilm FinePix V10 review : Digital gadgets are becoming increasingly difficult to tell apart. We take photos with mobile phones, whilst calling with a PDA. The Fujifilm FinePix V10 is the latest addition to this series of gadgets. First and foremost, it is a digital compact camera with a stylish design, equipped with the latest Fujifilm technological innovations. In addition to this, the user is presented with the option to play games. The almost square-shaped model is filled to the brim with technical gems, the basis of which is formed by Fujifilm's Real Photo Technology, which they have developed themselves. In the Fujifilm V10, this comes down to a 5.1 Megapixel Super CCD HR.

Fujifilm FinePix Z3

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-30 07:00:00
Fujifilm FinePix Z3 : Fujifilm today announced the launch of Fuji FinePix Z3, the 3rd generation of the iconic ‘Z’ series design. With a re-designed body and funky new colours, the Fujifilm FinePix Z3 digital camera will appeal to the most fashion conscious customers, and is likely to be particularly popular with female owners. Women now buy almost as many digital cameras as men, however the Fuji FinePix Z3’s appeal to this market is more than the usual ‘slim camera’ story. Research has shown that the majority of pictures taken by women are ‘people pictures’ in low light situations and taken in close proximity. Ironically, it is exactly this kind of situation that spells trouble for conventional digital cameras.

Leveraging its 75 year heritage of imaging innovation, Fujifilm is the first manufacturer to offer a unique 15-layer technology designed to maximize colour accuracy. This new, multi-layer technique uses special ‘pigmented resin layers’ to receive more ink enabling consumers to produce richer, smoother and glossier prints at home.
